Some of you want to draw your favorite characters, others may want to pursue an art career and create their unique art.  It can be realistic, anime-style, or cartoon; whatever the goal is, I can help you reach it more quickly.

What's up, everybody? This is Yair!

I’ve been drawing ever since I was a little kid, usually on the tables at school when the teacher was too boring or as a way of healing. I started taking things more seriously in my 20s and studied animation for four years, bringing my love of drawing to a professional level; I created new characters, scripts, and art concepts and even made my award-winning animation film.

During the same time, I created an art channel that grew each year and now has more than 900K awesome subscribers over 150M views, and for almost a decade, I’ve been teaching my followers how to draw their favorite anime characters. 

I love drawing and I love teaching; I have a way of really break things down to details and explaining them in a fun and easy to understand way. I love the feedback from my students, who tell me they’ve improved because of me, that I give them inspiration, I never take it for granted and it really is the best feeling, knowing you made an impact on somebody.  

My love for drawing is connected with my desire to be the best at what I do. I love working hard, I love improving, I’m a dreamer and I’m a grinder.

You’ll be able to draw anything you see; it can be your favorite character, your pet, your loved ones, or even the view from your window. Imagine how great it is knowing you can break down everything you lay your eyes on and put it on a piece of paper the right way!

You will completely understand the logic and structure of drawing each line, shape, and motion. And you’ll realize how everything starts to make sense. By the end of this course, you’ll understand every step in drawing and save so much time to get to your end result.

You’ll have the tools to improve; every lesson in this course comes with multiple assignments to keep you sharp and active. You’ll be able to shade with great details, understand lightness and darkness and sharpen your skills with each task.

The courses are designed for English speakers. You don't need to be an English native speaker, but you need to feel quite confident with the English language. 

No previous knowledge of drawing is required. The Beginner course starts from the absolute basics, nothing is given for granted. You will be able to start and finish this journey with me, following a very structured and sequential learning path.  In each lesson you take you’ll become better and each lesson will prepare you for the next one.

The topics we cover are:

✔️  Tools: The tools you'll need for this course and my personal recommendations.

✔️  Vocabulary: You will develop a strong vocabulary in drawing, and understanding the meaning of every word. 

✔️  Lines: You’ll understand what each line represents, how to create them, and how to break down each object into lines.

✔️  Line of action: You will understand how each object has its own line of action, what it represents, and how to use it to create the right proportions on your drawing.

✔️  Shapes: You’ll be able to break anything you see into basic shapes and then into more refined shapes. Making the drawing process much easier and developing your eyes to measure size.

✔️ Drawing Steps: Each step is important; by the end of this course, you’ll know exactly what to do next and notice all the tiny details that’ll make your drawing have the edge. 

✔️ Drawing a full-size character: You’ll understand how to get the right body proportions and maintain the right symmetry.

✔️ Inking basics: You’ll learn how to ink, what pens to use, what sizes, and what to do when you make mistakes. (don’t throw your drawing!!)

✔️ Shading Fundamentals: Shade in multiple techniques, cell shading, tonal shading, smudging, and various cross-hatching techniques.

🌟✔️ BONUS: Human Anatomy: You'll learn about the male anatomy, how to draw the muscles the right way, and the connections between the muscles - All that in a very dynamic pose!
